This weekend, Michelle and Luis’ Wedding at The Barn at Tanque Verde Ranch in Tucson, AZ, was one I won’t soon forget. You see, I met Michelle about two months ago and ended up being her photographer ON WEDNESDAY. Yes, the week of her wedding, their original wedding photographer canceled, and somehow I was available. It was meant to be!
Michelle and Luis are high school sweethearts. Unfortunately, their wedding was one of the many that had to be postponed due to the pandemic, but it was well worth the wait!
The day started at Tanque Verde Ranch, where hair and make-up were done, the guys hung out, and the girls were doing the flower girls’ hair. Michelle was surrounded by so much love from her squad, family, and mother-in-law. They took some fun pictures with matching robes and had an incredible first look!
After the ceremony, we took some family photos inside the chapel. Once we were back at The Barn at Tanque Verde Ranch, Michelle’s reaction to seeing her dreams come to life was priceless! We took some epic pictures with bridesmaids and had so much fun with the wedding party. I had never seen a bride and groom spend so much time in the air! (You’ll know what I’m talking about when you see it.)
Then come the groomsmen. Nathanael had a blast with them as they took pictures drinking shots. The kids were running around, and the guys were messing around, having a good time.
The ceremony took place at San Augustine Chapel, and it was very traditional to Mexican weddings. They even had a mariachi! Tears were shed, touches of laughter were shared, and waves of celebration as they walked down the aisle as Mr. and Mrs. Icedo.
We managed to sneak out for some sunset portraits, where Luis and Michelle could enjoy time together without all of their loved ones asking for pictures. Finally, the wedding party made their entrance, but the bride and groom’s fathers took the cake (not literally)! Unfortunately, because of COVID, some family members could not attend, but Michelle’s family decided to create a surprise video for her!
All in all, it was indeed a perfect day! Together, Michelle and Luis completely complement one another. She is always smiling (as is Luis), and he loves her deeply and quietly. They are, indeed, a perfect match, and I am just bursting with joy that I got to document their love.
No one deserved this perfect day more than the two of you. I am so beyond happy that I got to be there to witness the beginning of your next big adventure. Thank you a million times over for being so incredible! I hope this new adventure together gets better every day. Your joy is contagious, and I loved being surrounded by it on your wedding day. Cheers to many more decades of love and happiness!
