A Dreamy Anniversary Session in Paris, France | Maritza & Henry in the City of Love

This anniversary session at the Eiffel Tower was magic! When I shared on my IG stories that I would be traveling to Europe, Maritza and Henry jumped at the chance to book a couples session in Paris! Seriously, Maritza booked me within thirty minutes of that post being live. This totally blew my mind because although they are from Tucson, Maritza and Henry live in the Netherlands. They traveled all the way to Paris — just for this session! How cool is that?
Deciding where to shoot in Paris was a no-brainer as well! What better place to document a piece of your love story than the iconic Eiffel Tower? Gems, if I hear you’re celebrating an anniversary in such a romantic spot, you better have a photographer with you! Those memories deserve to be documented by a professional.
So when I arrived in France, my toes were tingling with anticipation, knowing that I was about to shoot one of the biggest sessions of my life. I’ve always wanted to photoshoot at the Eiffel Tower, so this chance was unbelievable.
On the morning of the shoot, not even the heavy rain could dampen my spirits: some way, somehow, we had to make this work. I didn’t care what it took, even if it meant adjusting our plans and waiting a little bit.
We ended up meeting later that morning. The rain had cleared up, leaving the sky bright with a harsh sun that threatened to ruin our plans. This other extreme didn’t throw me off. It’s way better than the cats and dogs we’d experienced earlier!
Through careful angles and poses, I worked magic. I bet you never would’ve known this session was so hard if I hadn’t told you! Finally, we found shade in the tall buildings that made the couple pop, creating crisp, clear images with the Eiffel Tower still in view!
Maritza and Henry showed up dressed to the nines. In sleek, classic neutrals, this couple radiated warmth and love as they gazed into each other’s eyes. I wouldn’t have changed a thing!
Surrounded by the swoon-worthy architecture of eras bygone, Maritza and Henry swayed and danced, held hands and kissed, celebrating their love story and everything it took to lead up to this special moment.
After the session, I could not believe that we’d actually done it! I looked back on these photos for weeks and stood in awe of them. Thank you so much, Maritza and Henry! Having a photoshoot in front of the Eiffel Tower was a bucket list item for me, and you two made it possible! Enjoy your photos, and thanks so much for supporting me!
