This session was a different type of session. What I thought to be an engagement session turned out to be a “we got married!” session. Selena and Marcus are moving to Italy this month, and they could not wait any longer to exchange vows and say their “I do’s.” This was also a different session because it was a sunrise session at Saguaro National Park West. Saguaro National Park West is one of my favorite desert locations and was the perfect backdrop for Selena and Marcus’ love story!
The first light of the day gave the whole session a romantic feel, and the sun rays peeking through the hills added a sprinkle of brightness. While I’m sure Selena and Marcus could take incredible photos in a random parking lot, a setting like this sure didn’t hurt!
I also loved the way they dressed to complement the location. I always advise my gems to look up images of their session location beforehand to ensure perfect color choices, and these two definitely chose wisely! Selena’s dress and red boots popped perfectly against the saguaros in the desert, and Marcus’ green button-down beautifully completed the look!
Finding the perfect spot to take a couple’s photos isn’t always easy. Still, you better believe I’ll be planning another Saguaro National Park session very soon!
Congratulations, Selena and Marcus, on your new journey, and I hope we meet again (perhaps in Italy!)!

Are you planning a desert photo session of your own? Say hello ASAP so I can save your date and we can plan the sunrise session of your dreams!
You hired a photographer. You cried when you saw the gallery. You downloaded the files. And then six months later you realized you still have not printed a single photo. Sound familiar? You are not alone and it is exactly why I talk to every single family about ordering a printed photo album before the […]

My son turns 11 today Eleven. I honestly do not know how that happened. During COVID, when the world had completely stopped and we were all just home together with nowhere to go and nothing to do, I took his portrait. He was little. He had that look on his face that only kids have, […]

Okay, real talk. If you’ve been stress-cleaning every corner of your house before your Tucson lifestyle family session, I need you to stop. Not because I don’t appreciate a tidy space, but because you’re probably focused on all the wrong things. So let me tell you what I’m actually looking for when I walk into […]
