Hey, gems! Mother’s Day is right around the corner, and if you’re anything like me, we end up waiting til the last minute to find a gift. But not this year! Mother’s Day can be such an emotional holiday for some, but it is also a day to show extra love and appreciation to the women who have nurtured and cared for us. It is a day to celebrate motherhood, no matter what that looks like in your life, and all of the selfless love that comes with it. Whether you celebrate the Mexican (May 10th) or the American (May 14th) holiday, one of the many ways to give our mothers extra love is by giving them thoughtful gifts. In this blog post, I will go over some Mother’s Day gift ideas that will make the moms in your life feel loved and appreciated.
Now, as a photographer, you know there is no way I wouldn’t include something photo relat. But, as moms, we are rarely in any photos ourselves. Therefore, receiving a photo where a mom comes out with her children and looks pretty? MAJOR WIN! Here are my favorite photo-related Mother’s Day gift ideas.
This wall calendar from Artifact Uprising is not your average calendar. Not only is the quality great, but you can tear away the perforated photo section of each month and frame it!
I know what you’re thinking. “Mom’s stress out over family sessions,” and it’s true! But did you know I offer a stress-free and fun experience for the whole family? Don’t take it from me. Here is what a recent gem family had to say,
We have worked with Ruby twice now and plan on continuing to work with her to capture our family memories. She is so easy to work with is so talented! We love her aesthetic and how fast she turns around albums for us to start enjoying our photos!”
They say diamonds are a girl’s best friend, I’m afraid I have to disagreegree. I have seen these adorable necklaces that you can customize, and I’m sure there isn’t a single mom around that wouldn’t love it (Hint, hint). You see, at Tiny Tags, they specialize in customized jewelry for moms. They have a wide range of pricing from under $100 to over $500. It’s something they can wear every day and cherish for years.
I asked over on my Instagram what they wanted for Mother’s Day, and 90% said something spa related. A massage, a facial, a nice manicure, and a pedicure. Overall, a day to relax. So, if you are in the Tucson area, you are in luck because I have excellent recommendations when it comes to spa visits!
If you are looking for a place for mom to relax and spend the entire day (or at least half of it) by herself relaxing, then there are specific locations I recommend. A place that won’t break the bank too much is Fuschia Spa at La Encatada. They offer everything from manis and pedis, to massages and facials, and even brow lamination! However, if you want something more luxurious, look no further than The Spa at The Ritz Carlton Dove Mountain.
Facials are a great way of spoiling a mom. Although it’s only a one-hour treatment, it can go a long way if you go to the right person! My favorites are:
– Face It Aesthetics
– Modern Hue Aesthetics
– Karina Romero Beauty Studio
– Skin Logistics
Don’t overthink it too much. Kids decorated a mug. She’ll love it. They drew a picture for Mom. Guess what? It’s going on the fridge. Moms want to rest for a minute. Even though we love and appreciate the love and attention given to us, just let us sleep in! Treat us to breakfast in bed, and even better, ASK what we want! 😁
If you’ve ever had a dog, you know they’re more than just pets—they’re family. They see you at your best and your worst and love you through it all. That was my sweet Chipis, my stubborn, adventurous, and fiercely loyal Shiba Inu. Saying goodbye to her this past month was one of the hardest things […]
During a vibrant photo session at Sweetwater Wetlands Park, the Latorre family, including twins and a younger brother, embraced the outdoors, allowing their natural interactions to shine through in every capture. The park’s lush scenery and serene atmosphere paired with the family’s soft-toned outfits offered a perfect setting. Despite some challenges with sunlight, the photographer’s skill ensured beautiful results, capturing genuine, joyful moments that the family will cherish as memories.
In Oro Valley, Arizona, a family photographer captured a magical session against the stunning backdrop of the Sonoran Desert and Catalina Mountains during twilight’s blue hour. The family’s close bond and synchronized outfits complemented the natural scenery, yielding photographs rich with moments of joy, love, and connection. The session highlighted the enduring beauty of the desert and the timeless essence of family ties, offering a sanctuary for creating and preserving cherished memories.
