There’s something truly magical about family photoshoots! I can’t get over how special documenting your memories is, and it’s truly an honor to be a part of your family’s journey together. Just wait until you meet this fantastic family! They will soon be starting a podcast all about parenthood, moving, finances, and pretty much life, so stay tuned for that!

Recently, I had the pleasure of working with the Taylor family. Jazzael, Colt, and their adorable kids, Hannah and Charlie, were such an amazing bunch during a photo session at Catalina State Park. Since they just moved to the area, I was thrilled to capture them in their brand-new surroundings.
The kids’ school made this extra special session possible through a silent auction. As part of an annual tradition, I donate a few photography sessions to different schools to support their fundraising efforts. Jazzael happened to be one of the lucky winners.

It didn’t take me long to learn that these guys are total pros at family photos. Their previous photographer did an exceptional job guiding them during the shoots, so I could tell that they had done this before.
As a professional photographer, I understood the importance of making my clients feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera. I was determined to meet their expectations and create a memorable experience for the Taylor family.

On the day of the shoot, the weather couldn’t have been more perfect. The sun bathed Catalina State Park in a warm, golden glow, accentuating the natural beauty that surrounded us. Towering saguaro cacti, vibrant desert wildflowers, and rugged mountain peaks provided a picturesque backdrop for our session.
As we began, I could sense the genuine love and warmth that radiated from the Taylor family. Jazzael and Colt shared tender glances, and the kids bubbled with energy and enthusiasm, bringing infectious joy to the shoot. Their playful interactions created so many natural moments that made for some of the most heartwarming photos.

Throughout the session, I strived to capture both posed and candid shots. The park’s stunning landscapes served as the perfect setting for posed portraits. I can’t gush enough over these majestic mountains and sprawling desert vistas.
To ensure an enjoyable experience, I provided gentle guidance while also allowing the family’s natural bond to shine. We explored various locations within the park, capturing a wide range of backdrops that complemented the family’s vibrant personalities.

In the end, the Taylor family’s photo session at Catalina State Park was an incredible experience. We not only captured beautiful images against the backdrop of Arizona’s stunning scenery, but we also created lasting memories together.
I’m so grateful for the opportunity to have worked with such a loving and vibrant family. I hope that these photos will always remind them of the joy they shared during this special time in their lives.

My son turns 11 today Eleven. I honestly do not know how that happened. During COVID, when the world had completely stopped and we were all just home together with nowhere to go and nothing to do, I took his portrait. He was little. He had that look on his face that only kids have, […]
